CHALK THE WALK COMMUNITY

Date: Sunday, August 2, 2026

Location: Teacher Parking Lot

Let’s send off summer with sweet messages! Come decorate the school sidewalk with words of encouragement and colorful drawings to welcome staff and teachers. Popsicles and drinks provided, creativity encouraged, and everyone is welcome to join!

NEW FAMILY ORIENTATION INFORMATIVE

New to our school? We’re so glad you’re here! This orientation is perfect for families transferring in or those with incoming kinder students. Learn all the essentials: lunch options, campus layout, nurse information, arrival/dismissal routines, and more.

Families with Pre-K or ELE students—this day is just for you! You’ll meet the teaching team, explore learning goals and classroom routines, and drop off school supplies. Choose the session that fits your schedule.

MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT INFORMATIVE

Session 1: 5:00pm A-L
Session 2: 5:30pm M-Z

This is your chance to meet your child’s teachers, learn about grade-level curriculum, testing timelines, classroom expectations, and drop off school supplies. All families are strongly encouraged to attend!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL STUDENTS

School Starts: 7:30am
Breakfast Available: 7:10am - 7:20am

Let’s make it a strong start! Doors open at 7:10 AM for breakfast, and instruction begins promptly at 7:30 AM. We can’t wait to see those first-day smiles!

What are EAGLE EVENINGS 🦅?

Eagle Evenings are special family engagement nights where all of our community’s families are invited to come together. Most evenings follow a fun theme, and two each year are larger celebrations for the whole community. These gatherings are a chance to share food or snacks, enjoy each other’s company, and simply connect. It’s about building friendships, learning ways to support one another, and creating a welcoming space where our kids can laugh, play, and make memories. At the heart of it, Eagle Evenings are about being together—celebrating our school community like one big family.

What are FLY HIGH FRIDAYS?

Fly High Friday is our monthly pep rally—usually held on the last Friday of the month—where our entire school community comes together to celebrate school spirit and student achievements. Led by our amazing Eagle Ambassadors, this event is open to all students from Kindergarten through 5th grade, and parents are warmly encouraged to attend.

During the rally, we honor our “Eagles of the Month” and recognize any special awards our students have earned for the school. Learning attributes are brought to life through fun, engaging skits, and sometimes guest presenters—whether teachers or community groups—join in to share something special.

We also find out which grade gets the bragging rights of claiming the coveted Viper helmet. It’s an uplifting way to cheer on our kids, celebrate their hard work, and strengthen our school pride.

💡NOTE: Parents attending Fly High Friday will need to check in at the front office to get a badge before joining the event. Our admin team also appreciates it when guests check out at the front office when leaving.
