Why Should I VOLUNTEER
"When do I have time to volunteer," you ask yourself. "I am too busy being a parent!" Volunteering is important for all of us. Volunteering at your child's campus may be one of the most important, life-altering things you can ever do for your child. Why you ask? Because it send a very clear message to them (and other students for that matter) that you're devoting your most precious commodity - yourself - to something that's important to you - their education. It shows them you support them and their teachers and lets them know that what they do matters to you.
It's all about them
We're talking about our teachers and staff...the very teachers and staff who nurture your child(ren) everyday throughout the school year. We need your helping hands and smiling faces on our campuses to help lighten the load for our staff giving them more time in the classroom. We appreciate your time and talents in Leander ISD schools.
We're number one
The number one reason people don't volunteer is because no one asked them. Well, we are asking for you to be involved! Your time and knowledge is needed and wanted by our staff and students. The diversity of our community and the experiences you can share with our students is valuable to us. Whether it's a little time or a lot of time - on campus or at him - mom, dad or grandparent - WE NEED YOU! We could not do it without each of you!
Get involved today!
Our Volunteers are an extremely important part of Leander Independent School District and its campuses and perform such tasks as:

Laminating
Serving special lunches in the cafeteria
Acting as team parents
Helping at Book Fairs, Field Days, and special events
Helping in the classroom
Organizing classroom parties
and many more...........
HOW TO VOLUNTEER
Volunteering is as easy as 1-2-3!
1 - First thing's First
Activate OR Reactivate your LISD Volunteer Approval.
This must be done each school year.
2 - Get involved TODAY!
Check out the ongoing opportunities or events and decide where you would be a good fit.
3 - Communicate
Email Ana Benhalim at volunteer@grandviewhillspta.org to ask about opportunities not listed.
Volunteering doesn't have to mean a huge time commitment. Whatever your schedule and interests we need you! In the end, our kids are the BIG winners when we all come together in this one purpose!
Thank you for sharing your time and talents!
